Buck 77 Hazmat Whisky
77% CASK STRENGTH WHISKY
Whisky. Barrel. Bottle. Nothing unnecessary.
This is whisky the way we believe it should be sold: straight from the cask at 77% ALC./VOL., aged in ex–Maker’s Mark bourbon barrels, with no colour added and no filtration.
Why 77%?
Because water is easy to find.
Instead of proofing this whisky down, using almost twice as many bottles, corks, labels and cases, we leave it concentrated and pass those savings on to you.
At 77%, one bottle contains nearly the same amount of pure alcohol as two bottles of 40% whisky. Add water at home to the strength you enjoy, or pour it cask strength if that’s your thing.
We save the water.
We save the extra bottle.
We save the cork, label, glass and packaging.
You get more whisky for your money.
There is no elaborate story behind it. We make and source whisky we genuinely want to drink, age it in good barrels, and try to sell it for a fair price.
That’s it.

IMPORTANT: ADD WATER BEFORE TRYING
At 75% ABV, this is not meant to be consumed neat straight from the bottle.
To properly experience Cask 160:
- Start by pouring a small amount (½ oz to 1 oz) into a glass
- Add clean, neutral water (preferably room temperature, non-chlorinated)
- Begin with a 1:1 ratio (equal parts whisky and water), bringing it closer to ~37–40% ABV
- Let it rest for 30–60 seconds to allow the whisky to open up
- Adjust to taste—add water gradually until the aromas and flavors become expressive rather than aggressive
Adding water isn’t optional here—it’s essential. At full strength, the alcohol will overpower the profile. Proper dilution unlocks the depth, softness, and complexity this whisky spent 11 years developing.
